Social responsibility

Agenda

The business of the XXI century is unthinkable without responsibility. Doing something just for the sake of making money is bad form. In our world people still have so many problems, pains, and difficulties. Not trying to solve them is reckless and out of date.

The least that FLMR can do is help people on the autistic spectrum. Autism is one of the most unexplored areas of medicine. The number of special people is immeasurably large. Our problem is, we often do not know how and do not even try to understand them. Sometimes this diagnosis, especially its subtypes such as Asperger’s syndrome, is not seriously diagnosed at all. Often this cannot even be called an ailment, because highly functional autists, having learned to adapt to society, do not stand out from our neurotypical crowd. Many of them achieving great success – Albert Einstein, Charles Darwin, Michelangelo, Vincent Van Gogh, Sir Isaac Newton, Donna Williams, Stanley Kubrick, Daryl Hannah, Bill Gates.

However, there is still a difference between us. Our neurons work according to different algorithms. Our chemistry is somewhat different. There are differences in our perception of the world and in our empathic abilities. We are confident that autism is not a disease, but a feature. And since more people are not on the autism spectrum, we believe it’s very important to help those who need to be adapted.

Part of the income earned from this site, we pass into several funds. Most of them are Russian. Why them and not others? The situation with diagnostics and assistance to people on the autistic spectrum in Russia is worse than in many countries of the world. In this country, there are far fewer specialists who can pay enough attention to these special needs. There are not enough doctors and tutors there. But people are trying to change this situation. Foundations from the above list do a great job to help those who need it. And we, drawing revenues from the most important of the arts, trying to help these foundations.

And one more thing – Russia is the homeland of the founders of FLMR.
